Randi Weber Thoma, LPC, CCMHC
Licensed Professional Counselor
My name is Randi Weber Thoma and I have been a therapist in Oregon for 25 years. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College and I have been licensed since 1996. I became a National Certified Counselor in 1995 and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor in 2014. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the Oregon Counseling Association and the American Mental Health Association.
I believe people have within themselves the ability to make positive changes in their lives. I meet people where they are emotionally, and help them facilitate the personal growth they desire. I provide a comfortable, supportive atmosphere and build a trusting relationship that allows people to explore personal struggles, honestly address issues, build a new sense of autonomy and encourages constructive life choices. The skills and knowledge that are learned in therapy empower my clients to manage stressful life events, improve their relationships, and foster self- esteem.
I consider different aspects of a person's life, learning style, age, health and personality in developing the most useful approach to meet their needs. Some of the treatment modalities may include cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, positive psychology, solution focused therapy, play therapy, narrative techniques, family-systems theory, psychosocial education, skills training, parent training and client-centered approaches.
I am happy to answer any questions you might have about my counseling services.
